Xiaomi has made it known successor specifications of its "cheap" model, the HongMi that recently received a rebrand in RedMi.
It will be called HongMi 1S and unlike its predecessor which fitted a SoC MediaTek MT6589 1.5ghz (quad-core), this will use the most performing Qualcomm SnapDragon 400 1.6ghz already seen on the Mi2, at the incredible price of 130 $ (about 95 €).
Also the internal memory will undergo an upgrade from 4gb to 8gb. The other specifications remain unchanged: 4.7 inch display, 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front, MicroSD expansion slot.
Xiaomi, which has always proposed models for the medium / high range, is trying to establish itself with the HongMI in the profitable market of cheap terminals (but of good level) which, however, boasts very aggressive competitors like the Motorola Moto G.
There have been no official indications on the release date, so we do not have to wait.
