Xiaomi has made it known successor specifications of its "cheap" model, the HongMi that recently received a rebrand in RedMi.
It will be called HongMi 1S and unlike its predecessor which mounted a MediaTek MT6589 1.5ghz (quad-core) SoC, this one will use the most performing Qualcomm SnapDragon 400 1.6ghz already seen on Mi2, at the incredible price of 130 $ (about 95 €).
The the internal memory will undergo an upgrade from 4gb to 8gb. The other specifications remain unchanged: 4.7-inch display, 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera, MicroSD expansion slot.
Xiaomi, who has always proposed models for the mid / high range, with HongMI is trying to establish itself in the lucrative market of cheap (but good) market terminals, yet boasts very aggressive competitors such as the Motorola Moto G.
There have been no official indications on the release date, so we do not have to wait.
