The next Xiaomi flagship that in the previous weeks we have known with the nickname of "Super Large Cup" will be released on 11 August. A couple of days ago, we reported the official name of the device, or Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, but apparently this will be the name dedicated to the Chinese market. The co-founder and CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, has in fact just revealed that the smartphone will be called differently outside the Asian country: we welcome the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. A much more concise and easy to remember name for which we thank him.

Lei Jun, however, was keen to justify himself on the rather long name for the Chinese device, explaining that it is a truly premium product and a special edition to celebrate the brand's tenth anniversary. So it wouldn't have been appropriate to just call it "Extreme Edition" or "Commemorative Edition". Ergo, he got the idea of combining these two words. He then joked that "let's call it Extreme Edition" for short.
In addition to revealing the new name, Lei Jun also spoke about the selling price of the Mi 10 Ultra, confirming that it will be quite expensive (it is thought at 6000 Yuan = 730 € or more). Factor that Chinese fans seem to prefer apparently, perhaps to avoid biting their hands after buying a Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro which is not cheap by itself? The high price should also help avoid stock shortages, which we have seen with many flagships released by Xiaomi in recent years.
We can therefore summarize by saying that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition will not be a concept phone, everyone can buy it, the price will not be cheap and it will most likely become Xiaomi's most expensive model (in mass production).
Finally, in the post we can see two images of the beautiful package in which the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra will arrive. As we can see the packaging is shaded silver and in the center we find the writing "Xiaomi 10th 2020". That the smartphone adopts the same color? Who remembers the splendid Mi 6 in Silver certainly hopes so!
