It is inevitable: in the next few days we will only talk about Xiaomi Mi 11. It is beyond question that this is a super interesting device and we are not only referring to the design that has finally changed, but alsosoftware optimization. It is the first smartphone of the brand to have mounted the MIUI 12.5, which promises aesthetic and functional changes. Among the latter are the updated camera algorithms which, as we have seen with the wide angle sensor, they did a good job. But how will the macro behave? Let's see it together.

As usual and as we did for the wide angle, we will go and see the photos taken by professional photographers with Xiaomi Mi 11. These images are used to advertise the device and anyone would think they are retouched. We therefore thought of alongside them those "of the real world", taken by any user which has from poco purchased the device. This will make it easier make a comparison and evaluate on your own. First of all, however, a question: what is a macro sensor for? Simple, a capture as much detail as possible at a very close distance.
Xiaomi Mi 11 is equipped with a 5 megapixel macro lens. Normally this kind of optics has 5 or 2 megapixels and for the latest flagship device the brand has aimed high. Above we can see the official photographic samples that the brand has published on Chinese social channels to advertise the photographic sector of the device. Clearly these shots have ISO parameters changed according to the captured scene, which many users don't care about being the automatic mode. It is the latter that has been used in the photos below.
The two photos on the left are particularly striking: the details are captured flawlessly from the 5 megapixel macro camera.
