Xiaomi Mi 11: are photos and renderings of these days true or false?

It is physiological that every time a new smartphone is approaching launch, renders and photographs come out. That is right. But let's take the ball and validate an article that the Spanish colleagues of Xiaomi4mi they posted a few minutes ago. How true and how false are the renders and photographs who are shooting these days that portray Xiaomi Mi 11? Totally false. But not because we say so, but because there are very simple methods to recognize a job well done from a bad one.

Are the renders and images of Xiaomi Mi 11 fake or not? Wang Teng Thomas answers us clearly, sharing a short guide on how to recognize a fake product from a real one

From the beginning we have confirmed the hypothesis that the photograph that is persistently shooting online did not reveal the true design of Xiaomi Mi 11. We have also given reasons. Now, Wang Teng Thomas, a Redmi executive, shared an interesting thread on Weibo whose author is a very influential blogger in China. In this post he subtly states that all renders and photos of the device in question are fake. To this statement he attaches one short guide on how to recognize a poster / render true from a fake:

xiaomi mi 11 photo leak
This is clearly a fake photo
  • overall effectI Xiaomi's official posters or renderings are designed by senior professional graphic designers and graphics, the overall effect will arouse a sense of "exquisite" and "high quality", difficult to achieve with fake renderings;
  • lens color: very often renders are published showing the camera lenses. In the last two years, almost all the renderings of Xiaomi smartphones have green reflections on the lenses, like the one shown in the photo below;

  • background: each Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone has a different background from the previous one. Therefore, if we find an old background or that reminds us of something already seen, it is very likely that it is a fake;
  • font of the writings: as we pointed out in the first article dedicated to Xiaomi Mi 11, the font and therefore the character of the writings is always the same. Obviously what is written changes but the genre remains unchanged, it has always been that by the way. Obviously in Chinese, since no Chinese designer would dream of publishing a render with an inscription in another language.

That said, we hope we have aroused some curiosity in users. It is important to know recognize true information from false information. This obviously does not mean that we will not publish make it interesting like those of Ben Geskin which have no presumption of being believed to be true.
