There is no doubt that Xiaomi mi 11 ultra has been and continues to be one of the most curious and interesting smartphones of the Chinese company. Despite Mi 11 Ultra is not the first smartphone absolutely to use a secondary screen, the curiosity of 2021 meant that the Xiaomi device did not sell poco. However, due to the limitations of MIUI, the 100% potential of the rear screen they have never been seen. The portal XDA Developers updates us however on one application open source that changes the cards on the table. Let's see how.
Thanks to this open source app, it will be possible to use the secondary screen of Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra to its full potential. Watch out though!
The developer GuyWithRootedPhone, Also known as tpkarras on GitHub, he came up with an open source application that power up the secondary screen by Xiaomi 11 Ultra. As we know, on this secondary display it is possible to show only some of the information such as date, time, notifications and, with some not too complicated tricks, the photos taken. With this new application, however, it is possible broadcast all the contents of the main screen on the rear display of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. How does? It simply adds a quick command in the MIUI control center. We can see it in the screenshots below.

As we can see, once the button is added and the option activated, a message will appear telling us which application it is called Mirror2RearUltra will have access to all information visible on the screen. These, through a process di mirroring, will be "translated" from the main screen of Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra to the secondary one.
Unfortunately, however, not all that glitters is gold. As we all know, MIUI has one rather aggressive politics (and perhaps this is better for security reasons) against background processes. Due to the acerbity of the application that must be properly run in and due to the MIUI background process castration policy, the application in question it may not work.
