Xiaomi Mi 5 will receive MIUI 8.2 based on Android 7.0 next week

Xiaomi has officially released the update MIUI 8.2 for most of its devices that are in different stages receiving OTA notifications related to it. Lists of devices that will receive the update and timing of this are also provided, but a model does not appear, the Xiaomi Mi 5. And so millions of fans have raised protests and expressed disappointment towards Xiaomi.

But Xiaomi, never disappoints and so in an official post that appeared on the official Xiaomi MIUI page on Weibo, the reason why the Mi 5 was apparently not included in the previous lists was revealed. The reason is nothing short of pleasant for the happy owners of this device, in fact the Mi 5 will receive the MIUI 8.2 upgrade but based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Release of this update will take place next week. I would say that Xiaomi was fully satisfied with the fans who were disappointed seeing their beloved smartphone not appearing in the upgrade lists.

Xiaomi took time to update so many models so if you have not yet received unsolicited and pending OTA notification, especially the owners of Mi 5, who will enjoy not only the new MIUI 8.2 but even the features offered by Android 7.0.
