Xiaomi Mi 6 might have JDI display from 2k

In recent years, smartphone displays have become increasingly large and all manufacturers have had to adapt to market demands, following this trend that has no intention of disappearing anytime soon. Despite this trend, there are still many users who prefer smaller smartphones with a 4,7 / 5 inch screen. Screens of this size are still the best option and manufacturers are pushing hard in this direction, offering products with better resolution and higher pixel density. The JDI company recently announced that a new 5-inch IPS display is already in mass production. The display features are excellent: we are talking about 2560 x 1440 (2K) resolution, 580ppi pixel density, IPS-Neo technology, brightness of 500cd / m2, 1500: 1 contrast and 96% NTSC color range. The panel should also support the second generation of in-cell touch technology called Pixel Eyes, thus providing excellent performance even if you find yourself using the screen with wet or damp hands. The announcement would not be that important in itself, but it is possible that this new display could be the one chosen by Xiaomi for the Mi 6, expected for the next few months. This would also explain the start of production which took place in this period. Other rumors instead associate the display with a small version of Mi Mix.
