Who is not at first hair like me, surely remembers the fantastic world of modding in its early days, when we spent hours unlocking a smartphone and installing Custom ROM that allowed to "Italianize" the device.
Now with the globalization of the various OEMs this practice is decidedly less widespread, except in special cases but the developers or rather the real modders have had to fill their gap, answering the question that sees a smartphone assimilated to a current PC. Here then that after various experiments, some developers have brought the latest version of the famous Microsoft operating system, aka Windows 11 in the ARM64 variant, on the glorious Xiaomi Mi 8.

Let's go easy with the enthusiasm, as at the moment the only thing that was possible to view on the screen was the initial screen of the operating system, because the functional limitations are so many. In fact, it has not yet been possible to have the Xiaomi Mi 8 touch panel recognized by the system or the USB port etc ..

Definitely a great merit that of the installation of Windows 11 on a Xiaomi Mi 8 but at the moment decidedly limited, although this does not discourage the developers who are testing the latest Microsoft operating system also on other terminals such as the good dear and old Lumia 950 XL. I am sure that the pioneers of modding will succeed in their intent, but apart from a personal satisfaction, I do not find a real usefulness in the matter, in short, a scarce practicality of use, but perhaps I am wrong because I do not have an open mind like that of a potential hacker (in the good sense of the word).
For all other Mi 8 owners, they can still comfort themselves with the arrival of MIUI 12.5 which has begun its rollout for this device.
