In the post we published poco before, we had the opportunity to admire the now upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 in all its beauty, both in Transparent version that Deep Gray. But what is aesthetics if we do not find on board all the features that competitors can equip on their smartphones? We talk specifically about the Always On Display and Turbo mode to improve performance during our gaming sessions.
Xiaomi Mi 9: Coming with Always On Display and Game Turbo
The AOD technology was introduced into the 2009 from Nokia on the N86 and then grew in popularity with the advent of AMOLED smartphone displays. This feature allows the display to illuminate only a portion of it during sleep mode, for example to show the time, date, battery status and other types of notifications, saving energy compared to having the device with the screen always active to access the same information.
In fact, many of you already know that the Mi 8 presented last year is equipped with the same technology that benefits from the AMOLED display. So more than a novelty, the one we receive today from Xiaomi is the confirmation of a much requested functionality.
Remaining always on the subject of display and energy saving, Xiaomi will launch a new Dark Mode that in practice transforms the entire MIUI interface into a black color. This mode reduces 83% consumption when set to maximum brightness and 50% at half brightness. Then there is a feature that allows you to have dynamic backgrounds that change during the day, as you can see in the image above.
Finally, the beautiful AMOLED display of the Mi 9 should be wasted if then in practice we can not play our favorite games with fluency. We should not worry about this because Xiaomi has just announced a "Game Turbo" mode that allows the smartphone to "predict" the graphics and intelligently allocate resources for a better performance.
