In addition to the recently leaked internal specifications of the Mi 9, the upcoming Xiaomi flagship design is now well known. For days, the company has in fact been flooding the network with images depicting the smartphone both on the back and on the front. We will talk about the latter today, the Chinese giant has in fact revealed some really interesting details on the display of what could become the must buy of the year 2019.

So let's start from the display, one of the most fundamental components of today's smartphones since they cover up to 90,7% of the (front) surface of the device, or at least that's what Xiaomi announced in the latest online teaser. The number shared by Xiaomi still comes with an asterisk indicating the non-official nature of the data, obtained by Xiaomi itself in their laboratories.
As for the display specifications itself, the Xiaomi Mi 9 will equip a Samsung AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution, 103,8% NTSC color range, 600nit brightness and 60000: 1 contrast.
The display will then come with a cover in Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and different modes of operation to improve its use depending on the lighting conditions. For example, we have the "high brightness" mode, which increases the brightness of the display up to 39% compared to normal mode in the case of strong light. Then there is the "2.0 sunlight mode" which increases the contrast and optimizes the colors for external use, while for the interiors (and in the dark) the decrease in brightness has been optimized. Xiaomi says that by now darkening the screen we will not lose color reproduction thanks to the optimization of the range.
For those who like to read long texts on their smartphone, Xiaomi has also implemented a new reading mode now in the second version. This brings with it an increase in color temperature with up to 256 levels (formerly 52) and a smoother brightness transition.
Finally, inside the display, if we can say so, we find a "micro selfie camera", which is a smaller camera than the usual but should not mean a deterioration in quality, a sensor of light with a very high sensitivity and a sensor of more precise ultrasonic proximity.
