It seems that this June will be really fiery for the Mi Fans: after having formalized the launch of I 9T and after having just given you the news of the presentation of the new smartwatch AmazFit Verge 2 here our beloved Xiaomi delights us with another new and long-awaited product. After weeks of rumors and various leaks about the queen of fitness trackers, here is the official date of the launch of the future Xiaomi Mi Band 4.
The Chinese technology giant has in fact published a teaser that leaves no doubt about the fact that it will be the fourth generation of the glorious smart bracelet to be the protagonist on the day of June 11, probably in conjunction with the launch of AmazFit Verge 2, Huami essenso company that has been hidden since the beginning of the Mi Band series.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will be presented June 11 in China
It's been just over a year since the Mi Band 3 hit the market and this new generation seems to be further improved in terms of battery life thanks to a 135 mAh battery, the use of content via a color screen, probably derived from its cousin Hey+, and a refined heart rate detection system. There's very little official at the moment, but we know for sure that Bluetooth is moving to version 5.0 and that, as happened with the previous model, the Mi Band 4 will also be available in a variant with an NFC chip.
The company has not confirmed anything, but now there is very little time left until the launch of the fitness band that we hope will confirm the price dictated by the rumors, that is 199 yuan (about 25 euros at the current exchange rate), a decidedly excellent price and that since the first generation has been the workhorse of this wearable. While waiting for the company to reveal the official features of the product, what are the features that you would like to see implemented on the future Mi band 4 and above all, what use do you make of wearables?
Maybe I lose a few pieces about bureaucracy, commercial agreements, Google licenses or whatever, I just don't understand why they don't enable NFC to pay. If it came out around the 40 euros, with NFC and color screen, Google pay enabled and various contactless (public transport subscription or work badge) would really be a killer band. Do you think we'll ever see it?
