Our colleague Davide di TheCiasti thought about making a useful video to show everyone how quick answers work on Xiaomi Mi Band 6. Recall that this functionality came through the update with number of 1.0.1.32 firmware and is usable by updating the companion app Mi Fit to version 5.1.0. For convenience, we leave you the download links for both of them at the end of the article. That said, let's see how the quick reply via SMS works on the latest Xiaomi smartband.
He is using the application Xiaomi Wear but actually with We Fit the speech does not change. In the section Incoming calls (Wear me) or Manage SMS replies (Mi Fit) there is the possibility to check the options respectively Reply with a message e Automatic reply with SMS. Once done, we will enter the quick answers menu, regardless of the app we are using. Here we will find two buttons at the bottom: Modification e Add. These will allow you to modify a quick answer already entered on the Mi Band 6 or add one.
Now: How Do Quick Replies Work? Contrary to what it may seem, these SMS are not used to reply to other SMS (we underline it because yesterday there were doubts), but to quickly answer incoming calls to which we may not be able to answer. Once we get a call we'll have to scroll up to view on the smartband all the quick answers we have entered on the companion app. At this point, let's choose one and it will be sent to the number that called us.
