Xiaomi has just officially entered the world of PC monitors with two really interesting new products. The first is ultra-wide and curved, while the second is smaller and has a more ordinary aspect ratio; let's go and discover them together!
Xiaomi Mi Curved Display 34 ″ and Mi Display 23.8 ″ officially presented
Let's start with what will appeal to most PC enthusiasts, let's talk about the new 34 diagonal monitor and an ultra-wide aspect ratio of 21: 9, with 1500R curvature. The screen resolution is instead of 3440 × 1440 pixel (2K), with the 121% of colors sRGB and 85% NTSC color gamut.
The new Xiaomi Mi Curved Display 34 ″ manages to reach a brightness of 300 nits, while the contrast ratio settles on 3000: 1. But the most important and interesting factor, at least for gamers, will be the refresh rate. We have a 144Hz refresh rate with support for AMD Free-Sync technology. This and two technologies will allow us to have a more fluid gaming experience than ever, without tearing or other artifacts that could make it worse.
From the design point of view, the display from 34 ″ adopts very thin edges of only 2mm in thickness, we then have the possibility to raise the monitor vertically, rotate it and with an adapter mount it to the wall. Finally, as for the ports, we have two HDMI 2.0 outputs, two DP 1,4 outputs and an audio port.
The Xiaomi Mi Curved Display 34 ″ will be sold in presale in China at the 1999 Yuan figure, on the 250 euros at current exchange rates.
Now let's see the smaller Xiaomi Mi Display 23,8 ″. This PC monitor adopts IPS technology for more accurate colors and better viewing angles at 1920 × 1080 resolution, hence Full HD. Unlike the previous one, this screen only works at a 60Hz refresh rate and there is no support for AMD Free-Sync. However, we have the "Low Blue Light" mode, DC Dimming and other features to less strain the eyes.
Other specifications include a brightness of 250 nits, contrast ratio of 1000: 1 and a response time of 6ms gray-to-gray. While for the ports we find only two HDMI type outputs.
The Xiaomi Mi Display 23,8 ″ will go on sale in China at around 699 yuan, around € 90. We remind you that these are prices dedicated to the Chinese market that will see price increases once they are sold by third-party stores.
