The smartphone that we want to talk to you today has represented a chimera for many. It has in fact been shown in some leaked images, it has been the protagonist of many information leaked from sources close to the company but it never seemed to be on the go to market. We are talking about Xiaomi Mi Edge, the smartphone with curved display along the long sides of the Chinese manufacturer.
In the past few hours, further leaked information has emerged regarding this device and, more specifically, regarding the technical features of this device. From them we learn that the Xiaomi Mi Edge will equip one SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, 3 or 4 GB of RAM, a Sharp 5,2 inch display and QHD resolution, a 16-pixeled photocamera sensor and a fingerprint sensor.
If you do, remove the type of SoC, you will have a datasheet similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, with which it will also share the curved design of the display. Unfortunately, the information we discovered recently does not go any further. The hope is that, given all these rumors, rumors and leaked information emerged online, the presentation and then the marketing can take place by the end of the 2015, possibly in conjunction with it Xiaomi Mi5.
If this were to happen, we will have a situation identical to Samsung: the Xiaomi Mi5 would be the counterpart of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Xiaomi Mi band would be the counterpart of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge.
