According to reports from colleagues from Notebookcheck, who received an email from one of their users, the long awaited update ad Android 10 for Mi Mix 3 5G will not arrive. But let's go step by step. All 'MIUI 12 exit it was announced that this smartphone (non-5G version) would receive the update during the second tranche and therefore after June. Many hoped that this meant too the arrival, by June, of Android 10. Instead it is not so. You can read the confirmation below.
But the question is not that the update will arrive late, but that it will not come. There is indeed written in the mail that MIUI 12 will be released for this device before the end of October 2020 and which will be based on Android 9! It is absurd to believe but it is the truth. Definitely Mi Mix 3 5G will skip both Android 10 and MIUI 11, postponing with Android 9 even when the MIUI 12 rollout has arrived.
A regrettable and truly shameful situation that sees the Xiaomi slider phone as the protagonist. Global users will not be happy with this news at all and, given the precedents, they could also move with petitions and mass mobilizations. But it must be said that this was an announced tragedy: already on 26 last May she had feared it, although official support had not explicitly confirmed that the update would not arrive.
