Xiaomi Mi MIX 3: scroll design confirmed by the boss of Xiaomi

Great news coming today directly from the president of Xiaomi, Lin Bin. The CEO of the Chinese company has indeed released an image that leaves poco to the imagination (as you can see above) and that leaves us hoping for a fairly imminent launch.

Lin Bin was probably forced by the preview held by Honor at the IFA in Berlin, where the sub-brand of the other Chinese giant, Huawei, showed the next Honor Magic 2. A smartphone that is characterized by a truly full screen design and a sliding mechanism that lets the front camera out to take selfies or video calls.

What looks like a render of the smartphone published by the Xiaomi boss on the Chinese social media Weibo is indeed very similar and is most likely the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi MIX 3. The photo has also been correlated with a quite funny comment "I'm sorry 🤦 ( facepalm), we will launch it in October, ”adding soon after that he will force his colleagues to speed up mass production of the device so that they can open large-scale sales as early as late October.

Lin Bin also let us know that the goal of the company is to create a smartphone a screen-to-body ratio of 100%. Obviously this is not likely with the technologies available today, but will try to get as close as possible with the next flagship.

Having such a large pop-up edge, the smartphone can equip a myriad of sensors in the front, such as the one on the Xiaomi Mi 8 that uses an 3D scanner to recognize faces. If desired, they could also put two front cameras to create photos with a better bokeh effect than the single room, but probably there is no need for it.

Given that we are almost certainly talking about the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, it is also obvious to expect flagship specifications, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, at least 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ultra fast internal storage (UFS 2.1) and better image sensors than the Mi MIX 2S that still are still great and able to create photos of the highest quality.
