The 26 September, or yesterday, Huawei officially presented the new Huawei Mate 30 smartphone series in China. Present at the launch event was the president of Huawei's Consumer Business department, Yu Chengdong, who agreed to do an interview at the end of it. Well, as you may have already understood from the title, it wasn't one of the most positive, at least for the Xiaomi brand.
In fact, Yu Chengdong was asked what he thought of the new one Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha, in particular the innovative screen design. Consumer BG CEO replied that the smartphone is just a concept and that there is no practical value in that design.

An opinion that probably many people have, but that the Xiaomi Group vice president and boss of the Redmi brand did not like. In fact, Lu Weibing replied that "If the 'Surround Display' screen has no practical value, what would be the practical value of selling smartphones with foreign brand banners at over 10 thousand (1,280 €)".
Lu Weibing obviously refers to the fact that the Huawei Mate 30 RS is sold in a special edition signed by Porsche Design that costs precisely 12999 Yuan (1600 €).
The Redmi president later added that “Smartphone manufacturers have the responsibility and obligation to tell consumers if the foreign brand used on their device is really that of the car manufacturer or a design brand with the same name as the brand German. These misunderstandings should not exist, especially if created voluntarily. The user should be made aware of all the details. "
As some of you may know, the Huawei Mate 30 RS Porsche Design Edition is not the first Huawei device created in collaboration with the German design brand and most likely will not be the last. In fact, however, as Lu Weibing says, this is not about Porsche AG, or the manufacturers of luxury cars, but a brand created in the 2003 for the sale of accessories related to Porsche AG and Porsche Design Group.
