Xiaomi Mi Note 10 - Full Review - Xiaomi: "Why?"

After about a week of intensive use, I'm ready to tell you all about it Xiaomi Mi Note 10! So many things to say. A lot of things I liked a lot and some ... a little less. Curious? Let's start!
The Note series, despite the number reported in the name of this model, does not count so many devices.
I was not only the owner but a great admirer of the former Xiaomi Mi Note. I appreciated the "novelty" of the curved display of the My Notes 2 and I exalted the "simplicity and completeness" of the My Notes 3.
Now, with a pike somersault, let's go from Mi Note 3 to the ———> My Notes 10!
Compared to the other smartphones of the Xiaomi family the Mi Note 10 stands out mainly for 3 wait:
- Curved display
- MEGA battery
- Camera from well 108mpx
These are all noteworthy aspects but let's go with order.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 - Design
Lo Xiaomi Mi Note 10 it's definitely "important". It has generous dimensions especially in the thickness.
The measurements are 157.8 mm x 74.2 mm x 9.67 mm for a weight of well 208g.
Needless to deny it, as soon as it was pulled out of the box, the first exclamation was "MMAZZA CHE MATTONCINO !!" ... but then you remember that it has a battery from well 5260 mah and you say "BEH ... IT IS!"
La silicone cover included in the package is good quality, it does its duty and also protects the important camera block very well even if it further accentuates the "chubby" of the device.
Unfortunately, weight and thickness have diverted some attention to one of the most beautiful things about this device. The curved glass.
I am a lover of the "distortion" effect that occurs when an icon flows towards the curvature of the display and this Mi Note 10 does not disappoint. Excellent display in any condition.
Una slight tendency to blue in vertical turn but nothing unbearable. (Also the Mi Note 2 suffered from this defect but it was much more evident)
For the rest the blacks of this SUPER AMOLED from 6.47 ″ are perfect and the ambient display together with the new notification styles from MIUI11 they make a great scene.
Compared to other Xiaomi devices we find the components arranged in a different way. For example we have the Jack from 3.5 for headphones but in the lower part and the SIM trolley instead of having it in the upper left corner is in the lower right corner.
Particular choices but that add nothing or take away from the overall design that is very well studied and decidedly beautiful.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 - Performance
Let's see what is hidden under the hood.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is powered by a processor Qualcomm® Snapdragon ™ 730G.
We had already seen the 7XX SD series talking about the Xiaomi Mi9 Lite and, compared to the little brother, this 730G adds some horses to the engine by pushing the score AnTuTu Benchmark to more than 255.000 points.
Unfortunately, if the power is increased, the same thing cannot be said about the fluidity of use.
Compared to the Mi9 Lite, this Mi Note 10 lagga much more. Every once in a while we will have some tweaks when writing with the Google keyboard or when switching between apps.
The most obvious difficulty of this device is in the management of the cameras compartment as the processing of the shots requires a decidedly high amount of CPU, above all if we will try out shots from 108mpx.
This, however, is not to be attributed to the hardware of the device (improved compared to the Mi9 Lite) but to one ROM that does not seem to be properly optimized yet.
As soon as the MIUI 11 with Android 10 will be released also for this Mi Note 10 according to me we will see some good ones.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 - Connectivity and Multimedia
Il display with resolution of 2340 x 1080 FHD +, 398 PPI è among the brightest I've tried in recent times. Excellent legibility under the sun and the color rendering.
Watching movies and gaming will be very satisfying also because the excellent vision is supported by a decidedly clean and powerful audio even if the position of the mono speaker is not ideal.
Easily, holding the smartphone with two hands, we will cover the speaker considerably reducing the audio volume.
By now, the presence of the infrared port has been discounted. Personally I find it very useful and I would be wary today of a device that does not have this feature.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 - Battery
We come to one of the most juicy aspects of this device. There battery from 5260 mah should, in theory, guarantee a incredible durability.

Unfortunately the battery did not make us shout to the miracle. Excellent durability compared to a Mi9 but, with so many milliamps, I do not say that I expected twice the duration but almost.
As analyzed in the video, however, much of the blame is to be attributed to SW poco optimized. This suggests that we will see decidedly obvious increases already in the next versions of the MIUI 11.

What is it like saying? The sweet at the bottom?
Alloca we conclude by describing what was the only real novelty of this Mi Note 10: the "penta-camera" system from 108mpx!
Contrary to what happened with the Mi9 Lite, here the Xiaomi in the presentation phase has pumped a lot of cameras. He showed terrific shots and we obviously wanted to try them for ourselves.

I'm not exactly a photographer able to discuss saturation, exposure, etc. .. what I can say without fear of being contradicted is that this Mi Note 10 has at least reached a record.
If, up to this device, I have always tried to evaluate if the photos could capture all the details visible to the naked eye. (much easier said than done) this Xiaomi Mi Note 10 went for the first time over.
For the first time, especially using the 5X optical zoom, I was able to capture details that even with an effort I could not see (and I have 10 tenths) with the naked eye, giving me the opportunity to use this smartphone as a kind of small binoculars.

For me the camera of this Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is absolutely to be rewarded. It has satisfied me a lot and it is without doubt the best aspect of this device.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 - Conclusions
Strange to see the Xiaomi, after the first two specimens, choose to relegate the Mi Note series to the very crowded "middle range".
It would have all the features to be a highly appreciated TOP range if it were not for the processor which unfortunately does not support everything else to perfection.
Have the opportunity to shoot at 108mpx and then having to wait even up to 7 seconds of processing the photo before being able to view it is a bit of a nuisance.
Much, in my opinion, will be fixed with the next ones MIUI updates.
Both the performance and the battery have ample room for improvement, it being understood that there are no particular problems in daily use.
I have been using it since 7 days as a personal phone and I am divinely.
