Personally I have decreed it Xiaomi Mi Note 3 as the best smartphone of the 2017 company, and considering that it belongs to the middle of the market the thing is even more underlined by the selling price. Xiaomi adopted for his Mi Note 3 one CPU Snapdragon 660 optimizing it to such a point as to offer performance on a par with top models, in a sense also going to cannibalize the best performing brother Mi 6 from which he also inherits design.
Recently we also talked about the excellent photographic and video performance, also emerged from DxOMark test, totaling an impressive score of 90 points. Having said that someone wanted replicate tests focusing on stabilization, and bringing 4 smartphone models to a real-life scenario. In particular, the models taken as a sample are precisely the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, iPhone X, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S8.
The short clip shows the same scene taken by the smartphone quartet in which a lady flips through the pages of a book while sitting inside a moving train. The test shows that only the Mi Note 3 and the Galaxy S8 are able to withstand the instability of the train and continuing to film the scene in a stable way. This is likely due to the presence of Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on the device. On the other hand, the recordings of the Mate 10 Pro and iPhone X were affected by the vibration generated by the fast moving train and thus the videos were shaky. What makes the test quite untrue is that all four smartphones are equipped with OIS, and I personally don't think that both iPhoen X and Huawei Mate 10 Pro can return such videos.
