Let's go back and talk about the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air and, after showing you the first hands-on photo of the model from 12,5 inches, we show you the first teardown concerning however the model from 13,3 inches. The positive thing is that part of the components are replaceable in order to update the hardware as time passes.

Thanks to the screws on the bottom of the product, it is possible to access extremely easily inside, where we find the motherboard along with all the components. Particularly interesting is to see the presence of two cooling fans placed above the CPU to dissipate most of the heat (which then comes out of the lower body thanks to the ventilation holes).

Let's say that from this point of view Xiaomi wanted to "throw it on the safe side", given that some competitors were able to realize passive cooling systems also integrating an Intel CPU of the Core i5 family.

Then analyzing the rest of the card, we find a minimal predisposition to hardware updates. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air from 13,3 inches is in fact equipped with a Samsung M.2 SSD that can be replaced (in addition to having a second slot available). Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of RAM, which is soldered to the motherboard and therefore cannot be upgraded.

Below we find the battery 39 Wh (5107 mAh) that, in theory, should provide over 8 hours of autonomy, thanks to the use of SSD instead of HDD and CPU of sixth generation produced with production process to 14 nm.

Below we leave you to the video from which we took this information. Unfortunately, it is in Chinese but it is still possible to activate English subtitles.
