Xiaomi Mi TV Stick certified by Google: no 4k but only FullHD

Many are waiting for the release of the new Xiaomi Mi TV Stick, a playful gadget that should keep up with the most famous Amazon Fire Tv Stick, making even the most dated TVs smart, as long as you have at least one HDMI socket as a dowry. We theoretically know everything about Mi TV Stick, even the price if confirmed by the company, but with today we have some more confirmation thanks to the recent certification by the giant Google, which has certified the multimedia stick as a device with Android TV support.

The code name used for Xiaomi MI TV Stick is "aquaman" while the model turns out to be the MiTV-AESP0. However, the fears regarding this product are confirmed, as the certification highlights how the smart gadget has a limitation to only 1080p content, so no 4K as previously communicated, or at least for the moment. In this case, an Amlogic AMLS805Y processor, quad core ARM Cortex A53 clocked at 1.2 GHz is used.

However, the hope of seeing a 4K type Xiaomi Mi TV Stick does not die, as the rumors in this sense are still alive, but simply the company could still wait some time before the official launch, in order to see how the market.
