Xiaomi's next Mi Watches could measure decibels natively

Xiaomi Mi Watch it debuted a few months ago in the global version but users did not appreciate the shape very much. Unlike the "original" Chinese device, the global version smartwatch arrived in a round shape. The fundamental features are not lacking in fact, even if many have complained about the lack of some goodies that could be safely implemented. One specifically is the one that allows the measurement of decibels in the surrounding environment. Well, it could come in the future.

Xiaomi Mi Watch of the second generation could integrate the function that allows you to measure the decibels in the surrounding environment

We learn from the different online groups and from the data sheet of the two My Watch Lite (Here our review) to standard, which currently does not have a function to measure the surrounding sound. The ability to do this could come in handy in particularly noisy workplacesthe. Think of a factory or a technician who needs to measure how much noise there is in a certain environment (external or internal).

According to what we discovered from a patent on the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), in the future the above function could be implemented on Xiaomi smartwatches. In fact, we have evidence that tells us how smartwatches could measure decibels through the built-in microphone. We already find this inside the Mi Watch in the standard version (the round one).

Currently, this feature can only be used with third-party applications (sometimes even for a fee). In the future, however, we may not need it. It must be emphasized that it is a patent, therefore it is not said that the feature will actually arrive on future smartwatches. Only time will tell us.

But tell us yours: would you like a system application to measure decibels using a smartwatch?
