Finally here we are! After 17 months of rumors, rumors and leaked information, we finally have the official date when the Xiaomi Mi5 will be presented. It is the February 24, or between poco over a month. This was revealed by Xiaomi's Senior VP, Wanqiang Li, through a post on Weibo (the most popular social network in China).
Although it is a date when the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona also takes place, the presentation will take place in China and not on European soil, as the smartphone will not be marketed on our continent. With regard to the presentation event, it is expected to last longer than 2 hours when Xiaomi will most likely join the Mi5 other accessories.
Anyway, more details should be revealed on January 26, or next Tuesday. While waiting for them, we would like to briefly remember the technical features that the Xiaomi Mi5 (all emerging from rumors, except for the SoC that is safe) should be present:
- Full HD / QHD resolution display based on version;
- SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with 64 quad core CPU and Adreno 530 GPU;
- 3 / 4 GB RAM memory according to version;
- 16 / 32 / 64 GB Internal Storage;
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MIUI 7 graphic customization (you can take a look at the ROM through ours dedicated article).
Before leaving you, we also want to remind you that there are chances that Xiaomi changes its pricing policy with the Mi5 by asserting the role of premium smartphone | Xiaomi Mi5 will cost more than 530 dollars? |.
