Xiaomi's Mijia sub-brand is constantly growing and the wide line-up of products developed, combined with low prices, has made it possible to generate a profit that well crosses the billion dollar threshold. This is what Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO, declared during the China Mobile Global Partner recently held. The logs made available indicate that in the last year Xiaomi has invested in 77 ecological chains, 30 of which have already developed and released products. All this without counting smartphones, MIUI software and other goods that are instead created by the main brand and form the true heart of the brand.
An analysis shows the exorbitant number of gadgets sold by the company which amounts to more than 100 million units, divided between power banks (55 million) Mi band (23 million), earphones (18 million), keyboards (5,5 million), Small Ant cameras (3,3 million), and air purifiers (1 million).
It was also revealed that Huami technology, Xiaomi's eco-partner, has sold “smart” wearable accessories for a total of 16 million units, generating a profit of one and a half billion yuan. Xiaomi is (clearly) willing to develop other gadgets, further expanding the already varied range of accessories, without distorting the market strategy characterized by the unparalleled quality / price ratio, the main strength of the brand.
