Let's start with the price, the Mijia Pure Smart Humidifier is now crowdfunding on the Xiaomi Youpin platform at the price of 199 yuan (25 €), a price that will rise to 229 yuan (29 €) once the campaign is over.
Moving on to the features, the Mijia humidifier stands out for its natural evaporation of water. In particular, it humidifies the air by nebulizing the filter element and then evaporating the water. There is also a redesigned system of water channels and air ducts to create dual circulation inside and out.
This method can continuously evaporate water in a stream of moist air and expel it, so that the air is kept fresh and hydrated efficiently and permanently, completely eliminating the presence of dry air.
Unlike the ultrasonic method, the natural evaporation method can use tap water without worrying about limescale build-up. This is because the filter element of the humidifier is made of high-density fibers that absorb water. Once it naturally evaporates, all impurities are blocked.
Therefore it can be humidified with "pure" air even with tap water, making it suitable for pregnant women, babies, the elderly and sensitive people.
Mijia then developed a new type of water pump structure, which automatically circulates the water to be sprayed on the filter element during operation. This serves to always maintain a state of full water absorption, allowing the air to evaporate and humidify continuously.
finally, the humid air will be expelled through the 240 holes that we find on the body of the device, making evaporation more efficient, while thanks to the design of the water inlet from above, the water can be added directly from the door without having to be removed.
