The Chinese technology giant, Xiaomi, has just presented the new one in China Mijia Ultra-thin Cross Fridge 518L. The new built-in refrigerator will be available in the Asian country from November 29th at the price of 4.599 yuan, approximately 590 euros.

The Mijia Ultra-thin Cross Fridge 518L stands out for its ultra-thin design, measuring only 597 mm thick, allowing it to be installed flush with kitchen cabinets without protruding. Plus, thanks to the built-in hinge and front heat sink, there's no need to leave space on the sides or behind the fridge, making it ideal for tight spaces.
The refrigerator has a modern and refined appearance, with ice white natural textured panels, resistant to oil, stains and wear. The door is divided into two sections, an upper and a lower one, which allows you to optimize the internal space and easily access food.
The internal space of the Mijia Ultra-thin Cross Fridge 518L is 518 litres, Divided into 358 liters for the refrigerated area, 78 liters for the frozen zone and 82 liters for the variable temperature zone. The latter is equipped with six high-precision sensors and allows you to adjust the temperature from -20°C to 5°C, depending on food preservation needs.
The refrigerator also offers several areas dedicated to specific types of food, such as the humidifying drawer, the “mother and baby” area and the beverage area. The humidifying drawer is ideal for storing fruit and vegetables, maintaining their freshness and crunchiness. The mother and baby area is equipped with an independent and sealed drawer, which supports three temperature change modes, suitable for storing breast milk, weaning foods and medicines. The drinks area is located in the lower door and can hold up to 12 bottles of water or other drinks.
The Mijia Ultra-thin Cross Fridge 518L is also a smart refrigerator, that connects to the Mijia app and the Xiaomi AIoT platform, allowing you to control functions and settings via smartphone or voice assistant.
Finally, the refrigerator is equipped with a silver ion antibacterial and anti-odor module, which uses 360° air circulation to ensure optimal hygiene. The refrigerator also supports the first-grade energy efficiency level, consuming less than one kilowatt hour of electricity per day.
