A couple of months ago we informed you about the start of the crowdfunding campaign for a fairly particular product, we are talking about a kit that allows owners of a so-called "hoverboard" to turn it into a real Gokart.
The Ninebot Electric Gokart conversion kit built in partnership with the electric mobility giant Segway is compatible with both the Segway miniPRO and the Ninebot 9 (ninth edition).
Once the kit is configured with one of the two balance scooters, the Gokart will be able to show one of the best initial accelerations (0.7g), at least according to Segway / Ninebot, it will be able to drift thanks to the "hand brake" on the right side and it can go in reverse, something we take for granted on a car but not possible on a regular Gokart.
If you do not already have a compatible electric scooter you can still buy the included scooter kit which in this case is the Segway miniPRO. By default, the configuration has a power of 800 watt thanks to the two engines and an acceleration from 0 to 12mph (19.3km / h) in 2 seconds.

At the headquarters of Ninebot and Segway (acquired from the first) are also sure to have in their hands a real beast, comparing it even with quite performing cars such as the Porsche Boxter 2.7, the Volkswagen GTI 2.0T and the Mercedes Benz CLA 250 (image above) .
Finally, the Gokart has a maximum speed that differs according to the mode of use selected. It goes in fact from 8km / h in "novice mode", 18km / h in "normal mode" and 24km / h in "sport mode". The kit is also highly configurable depending on the height of the person who wants to turn over, going from 130cm up to 190cm, so it is perfect for almost every age group from children to adults up to a maximum weight of 100kg.
The Ninebot Electric Gokart and the kit are available on the Xiaomi platform starting from 299 Yuan (about € 376) for the kit without scooter, 4996 Yuan (626 €) for the kit with the Ninebot 9 and 6698 Yuan (840 €) to have the Segway miniPRO.
