Finally after so much talking about the epidemic, Xiaomi returns to surprise its users with a new and interesting product, proposed on the Youpin platform. This time he does it with a revolutionary digital meter from the Duka sub brand. The dimensions of the gadgets are really small, only 55 x 15 mm and a weight of 35 grams, ideal for professionals who must have the ability to measure surfaces or why not even tailors, who need to have a precise measurement of some body elements for sewing a tailored suit.
The measurement takes place via a small wheel that accurately calculates the lengths, also intended as the diameter and circumferences of different objects, but the peculiarity of having such an instrument, is that of being able to calculate the measurements of small areas of difficult access even if their surface is not flat.

Everything is powered by a small STM32 chip, which is in charge of converting the units and calculating the various measurements made. On the Duka digital meter, we find a small 1,8-inch screen with VA technology that informs us about the state of charge of the battery but above all about the actual measurement that can reach up to 99,9 meters. Among the measurements we can make we find:
- measurement linear;
- circular arc measurement;
- arbitrary curve measurement;
- surface measurement;
- cylinder diameter;
- irregular linear measurement.
It is also possible to store 10 types of measurements in the memory and change the units of measurement from the buttons on the frame. There is also a buzzer, although the actual usefulness is not clear.
The battery that powers Duka is a 200 mAh unit, rechargeable via USB Type-C port, for a measurement duration of up to 3000 meters or a standby of 200 days. Also with a small charge of just 5 minutes we could benefit from an autonomy of up to 2 hours of use.
The extraordinary nature of this Duka digital meter also lies in the price: only 99 yuan, equal to about 13 euros at the current exchange rate, although at the moment the purchase is exclusive in China through crowdfunding, but it is possible that in a few days we will see it appear in major third-party retailers.
