In recent weeks there have been many rumors about the hypothetical Xiaomi-branded smartphones that have appeared several times on the well-known Chinese certification body TENAA site, in which only an update of the codenames has been seen, while at the hardware (and aesthetic) level there has been no substantial change.

A few minutes ago, the long silence on the part of the company was interrupted and we can finally get to know this new device belonging to the Redmi (compact) series, that is the Xiaomi Redmi 3S. Let's see immediately what its technical specifications are and, consequently, what differentiates it from its brothers Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Pro.

Aesthetically speaking, it incorporates in all respects the style seen in the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro (absent the rhomboid texture) but the real big difference compared to the two previous variants lies in the processor used that passes from a Snapdragon 616 to one Snapdragon 430 (which also affects VoLTE support). Finally, it will be available in the same colors as the two previous variants (gold, dark gray and silver) at a price of 699 Yuan (at the exchange rate, poco more than 94 €) for the version from 2 / 16 GB and 899 Yuan (at the exchange rate, poco more than 121 €) for the version from 3 / 32 GB, with availability to purchase in China from 16 June (afternoon).
