Redmi has just presented what will most likely become the must-buy of the entry-level price range, we are obviously talking about Redmi 7A. The smartphone does not seem to shine for its modern design, it does not have thin edges or special features.
On the other hand, it doesn't even have notches or holes on the screen, which could please many. Furthermore, as is Redmi tradition, the 7A will have the specific / price ratio as its strength, even if the latter factor will be revealed on May 28.
Redmi 7A is official: The specifications of the next entry-level king
So let's start with the processor on board the Redmi 7A, or the modern Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 with a clock of 2Ghz, a good step forward compared to the MediaTek Helio A22 of the Redmi 6A. The new CPU manages to increase the performance of around 25% in the calculations, while from the graphic point of view we have a 50% boost, this means that we will have much better performances in video games or other heavy graphic applications.
Another strength of Redmi 7A is the size of the screen, which perhaps remains unchanged for the first time in history. The new entry-level phone has in fact a display from 5,45 inches just like the predecessor, with HD + resolution and an aspect ratio of 18: 9.
From a photographic point of view, the smartphone has been equipped with a rear camera from 13MP with AI (artificial intelligence) PDAF autofocus and different modes for improving the face. The same applies to the front camera which can also be used to unlock the device without a password and without the fingerprint sensor. Below we have some samples taken on the device
Being a low-end smartphone that we could give to older people or children, the Redmi 7A also comes with a more minimal and easy to use mode. In this mode the icons increase in size and are differentiated by colors, making it easier for the elderly.
As for children instead, we have the "SOS Emergency Help" function, this allows you to always have an idea of the position of the smartphone, to be able to block its use remotely and to prohibit the installation of the application.
The Redmi 7A has a body that has undergone a P2i treatment, this makes it repellent to water even if not completely waterproof. While inside, as for example in the micro USB port and in the 2 + 1 slot (two SIM plus microSD card) we find some devices that serve to decrease the entry of liquids.
Finally, the smartphone comes with a large 4000mAh battery that coupled with the super efficient Snapdragon 439 processor should bring extraordinary autonomy.
Redmi will announce the price of the 7A at the 28 May event, the one in which the long-awaited Redmi K20 will be presented.
