Surely you had already known, directly or by the way, the Mi Robot Vacuum. Maybe the name sounds weird, but we're talking about it Xiaomi robot cleaner. In the last few days the company has first released some pictures and then officially presented it second generation but ... with a different name! In fact it will not be called Mi Robot Vacuum 2 but Xiaomi Roborock Sweep One! Curious to find out why?
We anticipate that the changes are not substantial, but they still have to meet the demands and needs of the most demanding fans. Yes, because it is Xiaomi Roborock Sweep One (if you want to call it We Vacuum 2 do, do not hurt!) as it remains similar or identical to the previous in aesthetic terms, it undergoes variations in power and price.
Let's first point out that the name derives from the fact that Xiaomi has given up the burden of making the robot Roborock, while allowing the use of the name of the manufacturer. Therefore, price increases should also be evaluated as the 1699 yuan of the first model (approximately 215 euro) to the 2499 yuan of the second (approximately EUR 315). But is price increase justified?
As mentioned, Roborock Sweep One is in many ways similar to its predecessor and, in fact, we always find a round body with a laser detector of distances that this time, however, is more moved towards the center. The company reveals that obstacle detection sensors have also been increased so that the robot can easily overcome cables, conduits and avoid tumbling down the stairs.
Likewise, Roborock states that he has strengthened the Xiaomi robot by pushing 1800 Pa to one of 2000 Pa. But as an old spot said "power is nothing without control" and in fact the new robot will be able to evaluate the fastest route to return to charging base in case of low battery.
In reality, we have left the latest novelty and this is the characteristic that determines the price increase of the product. The new Xiaomi Roborock Sweep One, in fact, is equipped with a water tank that can guarantee a floor washing for 45 / 60 minutes. And if you're wondering if the wheels can somehow affect the outcome of the operation, the answer is no: you can rest assured that there will not be snow on the wet floor thanks to an improved sensor capable of assess whether the floor is wet or not.
Last difference concerns autonomy, as the battery integrated by 5200 mAh will provide a full cleaning for 2 half an hour, for a total of about 250 square meters. Finally, we want to point out that Roborock Sweep One is currently only available in through crowdfunding (so only for users in Chinese territory) but, despite the rise in price, only 3 hours allowed to get 10 million yuan to the company. Yes, you understand well: 1o million yuan, about 1.250.000 €!
We have no idea when it will be officially sold, but if the premise is these ... Xiaomi and Roborock have made a strike!
