The Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has announced the Xiaomi Router BE7000 at MWC 2023 which is taking place in Barcelona these days.

From what we can see in the photos taken at Mobile World Congress 2023, this router is equipped with the Qualcomm Networking Pro 820 platform, with a 73 GHz Cortex A1,5 quad core processor inside and with a computing power of up to 28800 DMIPS . So at least on paper the performance of this new Xiaomi router should be higher than that of most WiFi 6 routers currently on the market.
As for connectivity, the Xiaomi Router BE7000 is equipped with a total of 4 ethernet ports with support for a maximum speed of 2.5G and a USB 3.0 port to be able to connect external hard drives.
According to Chinese media, this router is part of the medium-high range of Xiaomi products and will have a price above 130 euros, but it will still be cheaper than the Xiaomi 10G Router launched in China in December 2022 at a price of 1799 yuan, about 240 euros at the exchange rate.
Recall that the Xiaomi 10G Router has a maximum speed of 10023,6 Mbps and supports 2,4G / 5,2G / 5,8G bands with 4×4 modulation, 4K QAM and 5,2 GHz supports a bandwidth of 160MHz.
In terms of interfaces, we find a 10G SFP+ optical port (10G), 1 10G Ethernet port, 4 2.5G WAN/LAN adaptive network ports and a USB 3.0 port (300 MB/s).
The router is powered by a Qualcomm Networking Pro 1220 processor, with a main frequency of 2,2GHz, along with 4GB DDR2 memory (supporting 1000+ accesses to whole-house devices). The product is equipped with 12 high-gain antennas, dual cooling systems, including a silent fan for active cooling and 4 pieces of nano-sprayed aluminum foil for passive cooling.
