Xiaomi's 8 Smart Display Speaker Pro is nothing more than an integrated touchscreen speaker, but this time the screen has reached a larger size. In fact, more than a speaker with a screen, it looks like a tablet with a built-in speaker.
Going to the specifications, the aforementioned screen has a size of 8 inches diagonally with HD resolution (hence 720p) and viewing angle of 178 degrees, thus a notable increase in size compared to the previous smart speaker which instead adopted an 4 inch display.
Along with the screen we also find an audio system with 50.8mm case and three the subwoofers should bring a great audio experience. Certainly better than the integrated speakers in smartphones and tablets on the market.
On the Smart Display Speaker Pro 8 you can watch streaming videos from Douyin, bilibili, iQiyi and Youku. All Chinese video platforms as the product is only dedicated to that market at least for the moment.
Obviously there is no lack of the possibility of using the device to control all the other Xiaomi smart products we have at home. It then supports Xiaomi's AI assistant XiaoAI to ask questions and perform tasks without having to touch it. In addition to functioning as a common tablet to make video calls, set alarms, play digital albums.
Finally, there will be some contents dedicated to the little ones with some tricks like the one that reminds the child to stay at a distance of 30 cm from the screen and therefore not get too close, damaging the view.
The 8 Smart Display Speaker Pro is now on sale in China at the 499 Yuan figure, or on the 64 euros at current exchange rates.
