This afternoon, the Chinese technology giant, Xiaomi, announced that tomorrow it will hold an event in which it will present a new technological concept and a new product.
Xiaomi confirms event for tomorrow: are the first Smart Glasses coming?
The event poster shows an image of the human eye and has a caption that can be translated to “See The Future”. So while the teaser doesn't reveal much to us, it seems pretty clear that the product might have something to do with the eyes.
In the comments section, Chinese users exposed a variety of speculations about the possible product, including a new smartwatch, new photography technology, fully wireless charging, and much more; as well as speculation that it is a VR (virtual reality) product.
In any case, the teaser was followed by a leak from the well-known Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station. The leakster revealed that the product has nothing to do with smartphones but is actually a pair of smart glasses. The comment also cites luxury eyewear maker, Dior, which means it could be a collaboration between the two companies. Given that Digital Chat Station usually gets us right with its revelations, this is the most realistic speculation at the moment.
Recall that Xiaomi already has an event planned for its global users on September 15 in which it will announce the new Xiaomi Mi 11T series.
The Mi 11T series will include two models, the basic one and the Pro variant. Both devices will arrive in Meteorite Gray, Celestial Blue and Moonlight colors and will be available in versions with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
As for pricing, the European retailer leaked that the 128GB variant will go on sale for £ 633,96 (€ 740), while the 256GB model will be priced at £ 660,95 (€ 770).
