But apparently the Civi will not be the last medium-high-end Xiaomi phone to see the light of the year this year, another device seems very close.
Xiaomi with Snapdragon 870 certified in China: will it be part of the "11" series?
In fact, news arrives from China of a new Xiaomi smartphone with model number 2112123AC that has just been certified.
The well-known Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station pointed out that this new device is codenamed “psyche”, and will be equipped with Qualcomm's flagship processor, the Snapdragon 870, so its positioning will not be mid- or low-end. It will also have a high refresh rate screen, high power fast charging and a high resolution main camera.
The specific name of this upcoming smartphone is still uncertain. This year, the mid-range Xiaomi product line includes the new Xiaomi Civi and the Xiaomi 10S, as well as the high-end series with the Xiaomi Mi 11 and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4.
Among these, the Xiaomi Mi 10S is actually already equipped with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which makes it a slightly updated version of last year's flagship, the Mi 10.
In any case, as we have just learned, the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone to be released also uses the Snapdragon 870 chip, so it is expected that the positioning may be similar to that of the Xiaomi 10S.
Finally, in China, several Mi Fans speculate that this device may be a new member of Xiaomi's 11 series. This means that it will be added to the various Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Lite 5G launched at the beginning of the year in the Asian country.
