Xiaomi is planning to implement wireless charging even on cheaper smartphones

Sometimes we take for granted the evolution that technology has made in recent years, for example if we think that today we can recharge a device without any wire, wirelessly it is almost utopia when compared to the technology of a few years ago. And the great thing about technology is that it doesn't take long to bring down its costs, thus allowing everyone to benefit from the news.

Xiaomi knows this well, which in recent years has managed to position itself among the most important manufacturers in wireless charging systems, beating all records of wireless charging power as well as interesting patents, which would allow you to charge a smartphone practically in the air (Mi Air Charge).

The time has therefore come to implement wireless charging in the brand's cheapest smartphones and to do this, Xiaomi is patenting and developing an ad hoc charging system consisting of multiple antennas / coils capable of receiving and emitting energy.

This new system is able to improve energy efficiency and, at the same time, it would allow an easy implementation in the systems and circuits of the devices which will be hosted. This translates into cost containment that would allow the integration of a wireless charging system even in its mid-range smartphones, without having to increase the price.

We have minimized the definition of this new technology as much as possible, the functioning of which remains unknown at the moment, but it should not be long since its first implementation. There is no doubt that the future of smartphones will always be free of cables, at least when it comes to charging. Do you prefer modern wireless charging systems or are you still fond of the cable?

I personally feel safer with a traditional cable, also to preserve the battery life over time, but perhaps because I'm lazy to new things. Kind of like NFC: I searched desperately for it and then only used it once (except for the review tests).
