A few days ago we were talking about the next incarnation of the UI of Xiaomi, the one that will take the place of the much acclaimed MIUI 9 and that only a few days ago saw the MIUI team engage in its development.
We told you how at the time of writing the news there were still doubts about what the official name of this UI would be (MIUI X vs MIUI 10) and how no other details were released in addition to those concerning the start of the planning work.
MIUI 10: new details from the vice president of Xiaomi!
Today however, we can add a new piece to what is called the puzzle MIUI 10This is thanks to information that Hong Feng, co-founder and vice president of Xiaomi, as well as director of the MIUI team, has released during the MIUI's 2017 Annual Summaries Conference, an event in which the sums of the year just passed have been drawn.
Let's start by saying that the name of the next version of MIUI was made official: we will not call it MIUI X, the call to the iPhone was too obvious, but simply MIUI 10, as it should be.
Some words have been spent on what is the direction in which MIUI developers have to move: in the same way as with the MIUI 9, Xiaomi softwarists must commit themselves to make it as lean and fast as possible MIUI 10, this to make it compatible even with older terminals that otherwise would not have enough hardware to run it.
The artificial intelligence is the key to success for MIUI 10!
The main target of the MIUI 10 developers, however, is to create a UI whose workhorse is a perfect interaction between man and machine, and at this juncture the use that Xiaomi will make of machine learning and artificial intelligence in general.
Unfortunately, Huang Feng has not communicated any more than what is reported in our news, so the time to release the MIUI 10 and those that will be specifically its main features remain a mystery.
Since Xiaomi has now appeared on the western market, I hope that the MIUI 10 assumes a character more devoted to global users, and that therefore, contrary to what has happened and still happens, the main innovations and features do not remain an exclusive prerogative of Chinese users: I am thinking for example of all those services that are currently closed to us or that we can only use in a slightly arranged way given the lack of an adequate localization
