As scheduled, Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has just announced the new Axon 30 series. This includes the ZTE Axon 30 Pro and Axon 30 Ultra, and no, we haven't forgotten about the Axon 30 (standard), the device will apparently not be launched, at least for the moment.

So let's start with the cheaper of the two, the Axon 30 Pro, the flagship with a flat screen. The smartphone was in fact launched specifically for users who love flat screens. In particular, we are talking about a 6,67-inch AMOLED display with a hole in the center for the front camera. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz tactile sampling rate, and has 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, with 1,07 billion extreme color displays.
In terms of performance, the ZTE Axon 30 Pro is equipped with the best performing processor on the market, the Snapdragon 888, combined with UFS3.1 + enhanced internal memory and LPDDR5 RAM, therefore the best on the market.
As for photos, the device equips a 64MP main camera (Sony IMX682), a 64MP ultra wide angle (120 ° wide angle, support for ultra low distortion), a 5MP macro lens (3cm macro) and a 2MP depth-of-field lens.
Finally, the ZTE Axon 30 Pro integrates a 4200mAh battery and supports 55W charging, which can escort maximum performance. At the same time, it brings NFC functionality for the first time to be able to make electronic payments and more.
For prices, the ZTE Axon 30 Pro will be sold at the starting price of 2999 yuan (390 €) for the 6GB + 128GB version, 3298 yuan (420 €) for the 8GB + 128G one and finally 3598 yuan (460 €) for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory.
Moving on to the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra, here the brand has really given everything by bringing one of the most interesting devices on the market.
Let's start with the display which on the Ultra version is a 6,67-inch AMOLED curved panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The screen integrates a front camera in a hole only 2,6mm wide, adopts a resolution of 2400 × 1080, a 3% DCI-P100 color gamut, a 10-bit color depth of 1,07 billion colors.
For performance it does not change much from its younger brother, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, UFS 3.1+ internal memory and LPDDR5, but it seems to bring a slight upgrade from the point of browsing speed thanks to WiFi 6E technology.
At the same time, to allow the Snapdragon 888 to reach more extreme performance, the smartphone features a 2880 square millimeters large area VC liquid-cooled plate, thermal gel and composite material based on copper and graphene to form a triple system. liquid cooled heat sink "sealed with ice."
Another strength of the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra lies in its photographic sector. In fact, the smartphone adopts a “Trinity” configuration, ie three large cameras on the back. These include a 64MP main camera (Sony IMX686 sensor, f1.6 aperture and OIS), a 64MP ultra wide angle (120 degrees / very low distortion) a 63MP telephoto portrait lens (35mm equivalent focal length) and finally a 8MP ultra zoom periscope lens with 5x optical zoom and 60x hybrid zoom.
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra also integrates the “Steadicam-level” anti-shake technology, which provides a double anti-vibration effect, namely OIS (optical) and EIS (electronic), so as to have clear images in any situation.
The smartphone supports 8K ultra-high definition video recording, HDR10 shooting, as well as three-camera recording, super moon mode and other functions.
Finally, the Axon 30 Ultra adopts a 4600mAh capacity battery and supports 66W fast charging. There is no shortage of linear vibration motor, dual-frequency GPS, 3 microphones and multifunction NFC, all in a thickness of only 8mm and a weight of 188g.
Going to the prices, the 8 GB + 256 GB version has a price of 4698 yuan (600 €), the 12 GB + 256 GB version has a price of 4998 yuan (640 €) and the limited edition with 16 GB + 1 TB is priced at 6666 yuan (850 €).
