The packaging of the 1More EVO is to be considered almost a work of art, with booklet opening and magnetic closure. Inside we find the design sketches of the earphones and the packaging in general is worthy of a jewel, but in this case with a tech soul. Inside we find all the essentials for a pair of earphones, or in addition to the EVOs, we have the USB Type-C charging cable, the rubber pads of different sizes to adapt the driver inside our ears and then the multilingual manuals. but without the Italian language.
Design and materials
Matt black color, but they are also available in pearl white, the 1More EVO are contained in a charging sleeve with a rounded shape, weighing 46,9 grams (including headphones), in which the brand logo, engraved with bronzed coloring. On the front of the case we have an LED that signals the state of charge of the battery while on the back we have the Type-C input for charging. The opening of the lid also stands out, facilitated by a very wide shaping. The lid is firmly in place and its closure is reinforced by a magnet, also integrating the Hall sensor. The headphones, weighing 5,7 grams, have an ergonomic shape that makes them perfect even in using them for sleeping, perhaps taking advantage of the reproduction of white noises made available by the companion app.
But undoubtedly what gives elegance and grace to these earphones is the touch surface, enclosed by a bronzed ring and made of ceramic material, in which a small status LED has also been inserted. The pressure sensor is clearly visible on the earphones, which allows you to play / pause the content being listened to, removing or inserting the 1More Evo from our ears, a function that can be deactivated and / or modified via the app.
There are also 3 different microphones (for a total of 6) which will have different tasks based on the scenario of use. The 10 mm driver is hidden under a metal mesh, which we also find on the underside of the headset, but this time it is one of the 3 built-in microphones that hides. The IPX5 certification is also not to be underestimated, in order to take advantage of the headphones even in sports.
Smart functions
Let's come to the interesting things, that is to the technology that these 1More EVO integrate in a really tiny shape and size. In addition to the already mentioned 6 microphones we must also mention the DNN (Deep Neural Network) algorithm able to adapt the capture of our voice based on the more or less noisy environment in which we find ourselves, giving back to our interlocutor a clear and crystalline.
Then there is no lack of touch controls, reliable and reactive, which allow us to recall the functions of play / pause, skip the multimedia track, volume control and recall of the voice assistant. To be honest, however, the touch controls are expressed only by means of double and triple touches and cannot be customized on the single earphone, despite the 1More EVOs do not have a master headset. Indeed in this regard, by means of Bluetooth 5.2, the earphones can be paired with two devices at the same time.
Apart from that, what is amazing is the presence of a double transparency mode, one capable of emphasizing the noises of the world around us and another capable of enhancing the voices, so as not to miss any important references. , for example in the office or while we are at home and the wife calls us because dinner is ready.
On the other hand, there are 4 different modes of ANC, i.e. active noise cancellation, 2 with standard and strong intensity, another capable of suppressing wind noises and another of an adaptive type, i.e. capable of reducing noise. up to -42dB depending on the scenario in which we find ourselves (traffic, office etc ..).
Audio Quality - 1More EVO
One of the points in favor of the new 1More TWS is undoubtedly the audio quality they return, both in listening to music, podcasts, videos and in calls. Not for anything else these earphones are born from a co-engineering with the sound engineer Luca Bignardi, a master in the technical field of belonging. In fact, among the various codecs available, for compatible devices, the 1More EVO are also able to express themselves through LDAC, for music reproduction at the highest levels, with the accuracy of every single sound frequency channel.
