KuKirin G2 Master Review – Unbeatable for price and performance

I tried the KuKirin G2 Master electric scooter, a new mid-range model that enriches the G2 series. A scooter designed for those who love speed in safety, even on uneven terrain. With first-rate and complete technical equipment but which does not have much impact on the price. A true BEST BUY among models under €1000

What's in the KuKirin G2 Master package?

  • Electric scooter KuKirin G2 Master
  • Charger
  • User manual
  • Mounting screws
  • Tools for assembly and maintenance
  • Pump for inflating tyres
  • Anti-theft disc lock

The scooter arrives perfectly packaged and partially assembled. It is only necessary to assemble the handlebar with the screws and tools already supplied.

Design and features

The design is in line with the other models of the house, now leaders in the sector, such as the G3 Pro and G2Max than tried in other reviews. Attractive lines, or rather bad, which anticipate its ability to bite the road.

The sturdy frame supports a weight of up to 120 kg confirming the robustness of the vehicle. The dimensions are generous (126 x 59,5 x 131,5 cm), as is the weight of 33 kg and even if it can be folded, it is not a scooter designed for urban switches between road and public transport. There is also certification IP54 which ensures waterproof to splashes of water for 10 minutes, but it is always better to avoid using it in the rain.

I would like to underline, once again, theexcellent handlebar stem locking/unlocking system which on the one hand allows it to be folded in a few seconds, on the other it guarantees great solidity during travel as if it were a single piece.

La footboard measuring 50×19 cm, it is large enough to rest your feet comfortably in parallel, and is also equipped with a rubberized surface which guarantees excellent stability. The platform continues on the rear with a robust spoiler for tricks or different setups.

Il handlebars it measures 59 cm, so it's nice and wide to ensure stability and safety while driving, it can also be adjusted to 3 heights to adapt to your height. It tends to be short even at the highest size but still suitable for heights between 150 and 200 cm.

The grips are covered in soft rubber and have a protrusion that offers a comfortable fit palm rest. On the side left we find the control for the direction indicators, electronic horn and lights. On the right there is the accelerator, the power and mode change button and the button for switching to "dual motor" mode. Even on the brake levers we find a rubberized surface which guarantees greater grip.

KuKirin G2 Master display

Il   It has the same attractive line as the scooter. Monochrome with a measurement of 4″ and is easily readable and adjustable in angle according to your height. It shows the current speed, total kilometers travelled, remaining battery and the chosen driving mode. I really appreciated the presence of the current battery voltage which provides a much more accurate indication of the remaining charge and overall health of the battery.

Performance and Autonomy

The KuKirin G2 Master is powered by two 1000W motors powered by an excellent 52V 20,2 Ah battery which therefore develops 1080Wh.

Switching from single to dual motors is easily done with a dedicated button. It instantly provides a crazy boost ideal for rapid acceleration, but above all for climbing hills. The company estimates the ability to withstand slopes of up to 20°, but this must be a mistake because in my tests I easily exceeded 30°.

We can select between 3 possible driving modes, essentially 3 gears that limit power and speed: 20/40/60 km/h. You will rarely use first gear, but especially in city centers it is useful for moving prudently. I don't like the fact that when you turn it on it doesn't restore the previous choice, I also find it inconvenient that the selection button is immediately under the accelerator, forcing me to let go of the gas.

KuKirin G2 Master maximum speed

La mode 2 it is the one I use most frequently, both with single and double motors. It offers a substantial increase in torque compared to mode 1 and is limited to 40 km/h which in a way allows us to manage it more conservatively if road conditions are not suitable.

In mode 3 theacceleration is lightning fast, and reaches the maximum speed of 60 in a few seconds and thanks to the excellent acceleration it is also possible to make good overtakings. Even if it is a real missile, the power delivery is never abrupt and you can always manage it safely.

I no longer have the Kukirin G3 Pro to compare with its 2400W, but I am confident that this one has more acceleration and pickup.

KuKirin G2 Master charging ports

Autonomy declared is of 70 Km in favorable conditions and with a single engine. By taking advantage of the double engine, the autonomy is halved and stands at around 35/40 km, a value that is still good and sufficient for daily journeys. The 20.8h battery recharges in approximately 10 hours via the port covered by a door.

Technical equipment

La braking it is run by two 140 mm mechanical disc brakes which offer decisive braking but not modulatable and immediate as in hydraulic brakes. The electronic brake is available but disabled by default probably because it is too abrupt and becomes dangerous at high speeds. However, it is possible to enable it with the information you will find in the manual.

The lighting available is powerful, varied and stylish. There are 8 indicator lights available:

  • Double and very powerful front headlight. It is not adjustable but the sheet metal on which it is fixed
  • 2 yellow front lights (one on each side) integrated into the footboard with a hemispherical lens which also act as direction indicators
  • 2 blue position lights (one for each side) which illuminate the kukirin logo.
  • 2 yellow rear lights (one on each side) integrated into the footboard with a hemispherical lens which also act as direction indicators
  • 1 rear light used as position and braking signal

In essence, even when the sun no longer illuminates the streets, we will have a large system of lights available to make us noticed.

I 10″ x 3″ tires they offer greater stability and safety than the classic 8.5″ ones, furthermore they are knobby and performed very well even in my tests on dirt and mud terrain.

Obviously there is no shortage of shock absorbers hydraulic both on the front and on the rear, with adjustable springs to adapt them to your driving style, your weight and the road surface you have to travel on. They do an excellent job and the ride is incredibly comfortable even on dirt. Shock absorbers are also important for safety because they guarantee better grip and safer braking.

KuKirin G2 Master Price and final opinions

The electric scooter KuKirin G2 Master I really liked it for its great power which offers kilometers of fun in safety both on the road and in extra-urban sections. No terrain and no climb stops this fantastic scooter. The excellent brakes and excellent shock absorbers allow you to maintain control and fully enjoy the incredible performance.

It is a vehicle with a "significant" weight and size, which is why I consider it suitable for the city but I would recommend it above all to those who live in the countryside and can take advantage of the off-road setup, the great speed and excellent autonomy.

If I wanted to find a flaw, I would have preferred hydraulic brakes that I loved so much in the G3 Pro.

Il price It is another positive note of this scooter, which is offered for pre-order at a truly competitive price. AND' available on the official Kukirin website a €989 (instead of €1089). The KuKirin G2 Master It is shipped free and quickly from warehouses in Europe.
