A few weeks after the presentation of OnePlus 10, DxOMark has decided to publish its evaluation on the display of OnePlus 9. This smartphone has perhaps brought a breath of fresh air to the world of smartphones, at least until Oppo launched its latest devices practically identical. But that said, anyone who is still in doubt about the quality of the OnePlus 9 display can see the evaluation of the experts below.
The OnePlus 9 display was evaluated by DxOMark, almost on the eve of the OnePlus 10 launch. How did it go? Good but not great
The technicians DxOMark have published a detailed review of the display of the flagship OnePlus 9 smartphone. The results were very mixed, as it ultimately received a lower rating than its 8-series predecessor, but also of the 8T series. OnePlus 9 is equipped with a screen OLED from 6.55 " with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
According to experts, the display of smartphone reproduces colors accurately, especially in low-light environments. The touchscreen is responsive to touch across the entire area, and the image is smooth in most conditions, whether it's playing games, using the browser, or browsing through photos in the gallery. When playing HDR10 content, there is one lack of brightness and there are "dips" in dark areas. Outside there is a lack of brightness and it is difficult to see dark elements. Also, there is sometimes a drop in the frame rate when watching videos.
Based on the results of all tests, OnePlus 9 received 88 points for its screen. In comparison, last year's OnePlus 8T is a plus point. The 9 Pro also received a higher score, albeit by only one point. But having said that, quality is evaluated in everyday use as we always say.
