As you will surely have guessed, given the countless amount of companion leaks, the new MIUI 12 will be released shortly, exactly on April 27, the day when we should have the opportunity to discover the new Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite. The new graphic interface of the Asian brand this year will above all revolutionize the release times as the download and installation of the same can be carried out on the day of the launch, at least according to the company's latest statements.
Among the expected features of the new MIUI 12 we find a renewed Always On Display, particularly dedicated to all devices with AMOLED screen, which will be able to enjoy over 1000 new skins or the new Dark Mode 2.0, as well as a whole series of graphic innovations that from the beginning distinguishes the interface from what is offered by competitors in the Android field.
MIUI 12 can be downloaded and installed on the same day of the presentation: here are the smartphones involved
But returning to what has just been said by the director of software development of Xiaomi, the new MIUI 12 can already be tested with specific downloads on April 27 and there are definitely many smartphones interested in the experiment. It is not clear, however, if only these smartphone models will be interested in supporting MIUI 12 or if other devices will also benefit from the functionality of the new system interface over time.
Before exulting, it should be specified that the implementation will take place as usual before in the Chinese versions, therefore we should wait weeks if not months before seeing the landing of MIUI 12 in the global versions. But if you are a geek and for your reasons you have always kept your terminal at bay with the Chinese ROM then you could be among the first users to benefit from MIUI 12.
In any case, the Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones involved in the MIUI 12 project at day one are listed below:
- Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, Mi 9 Pro and Mi 8
- Xiaomi CC9 Pro, CC9 and CC9e (Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro)
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Mi Mix 2S and Mi Mix 2
- Redmi K30 and K30 Pro.
- Redmi K20 and K20 Pro (Xiaomi Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro)
- Redmi Note 8, Note 8 Pro, Note 8 and Note 8A
- Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, Note 7 and Note 7A
We only hope that this beautiful initiative is not a way like any other to make users guinea pig, going to unpleasant situations as happened for Mi A3 with the eternal release of Android 10. One last note always about the MIUI 12 experiments always arrives officially by Xiaomi who on the communities has thought well to warn its users to be wary of any test programs, which are not official and therefore harmful to the terminals.
