A couple of days ago, Xiaomi's sub-brand, Redmi, presented the new Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition. As the name suggests, the Speed Edition is nothing more than an enhanced version of the Redmi K30 5G presented at the end of 2019.
Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition released in China, immediately sold out
Well, today the Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition was put on sale in China on the JingDong store at a price of 1899 Yuan, about 250 euros, going sold out in poco more than 11 minutes. Redmi also announces that exactly 10 thousand units have been sold.
So the new Redmi branded device seems to have liked Chinese users. We quickly recall that the Speed Edition is actually a K30 5G but instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G we find the slightly better performing Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G. The CPU supports the SA / NSA dual mode 5G network and is Qualcomm's second chip with an integrated 5G modem (X52). Full coverage of the 5G band sees a download speed of up to 3,7 Gbps, while the upload will go up to 1,6 Gbps. At the same time, there is support for sub 6 GHz / mm, TDD / FDD, DSS (Dynamic Spectrum Sharing) and carrier aggregation frequencies.
As for the other specifications, the smartphone adopts a huge 6,67-inch screen, with Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. While on the camera side we find the 64MP main sensor, the Sony IMX686, accompanied by a lens with f / 1.7 aperture and pixel binning technology to combine 4 pixels in 1 and improve results when taking photos in low light.
Together with the main camera we then have an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, a super macro with 5MP resolution and finally a 2MP depth sensor to take photos with the much-loved bokeh effect. For selfies there is instead a 20MP and a 2MP sensor, always to add the blur effect.
Finally, the device is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
