The next update will renew the entire user interface of smartphones of the company and according to what we know, it will be an even bigger update than the one of the eleventh version (only in name, not in order of release). ColorOS 12 already seems to be a big update for Oppo users. Digital Chat Station, a popular leaker from China, posted news on Weibo about the next major update. The post by revealed that the twelfth version (in name only) it might come with some components of HydrogenOS. He also hinted that it will be a huge upgrade over the latest version coming to devices.
So basically the fusion OnePlus with Oppo is affecting not only OnePlus users but Oppo users as well. However, the company has already made it clear that will keep HydrogenOS separate from ColorOS. HydrogenOS support will continue into the future, although we don't know if it will last forever.
For the moment it is not known which components the Oppo skin will borrow from HydrogenOS but there is certainly only one thing: this is good. As well as for the skin from Xiaomi, among other companies, we know that the Chinese versions are more performing and better made. This could be therefore another positive sign which comes from the merger of the two Chinese companies, which in any case always belong to the same group, BBK Electronics.
