Mainly due to the pandemic, the smartphone market from 2020 to 2021 it saw a negative decline. Despite the increase in purchases compared to the previous year, the volume of business has decreased and not by poco. However, new research of Counterpoint highlights as in Q1 period of 2021 there is an improvement for (almost) all companies in the telephone world. Let's see together the data and which companies are suffering the least from the crisis.
What is the situation of the smartphone market in Europe? Counterpoint gives us an insight into the Q1 period of 2021. Not bad!
According to what emerged from the Counterpoint research, the turnover of companies of smartphones is increasing compared to the same period last year. In particular Samsung e Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), they continue undisturbed to maintain the first and second position. Xiaomi, which continues its ascent in Europe, stands in third position. The research institution has dedicated some space to this company as its growth in Europe is exponential.
Below Xiaomi we find Oppo with an annual growth close to 100%. Realme it is not far behind, with a growth of 3 zeros. However, compared to last year's reporting period, Xiaomi is the most successful company in terms of sales. In particular Spain e Italy are the countries that have experienced the greatest growth: in comparison Apple and Samsung are at fault. But beyond the individual situations, it is good to see that the market in general is recovering. We hope that the situation will improve further with the massive vaccination campaign. Unfortunately we can't help but notice how Huawei (which includes Honor) is sinking into oblivion. It is the only company on the chart list to be negative.
