For the number of pieces sold, Huawei is the first product in Italy but, by value, Samsung still firmly holds the first place.
But today we want to analyze the data that have been collected in the last six months concerning the Italian online smartphone market. The arrival of Xiaomi in Italy it has certainly overturned and made the whole world around smartphones online much more competitive.
The devices produced by Chinese companies were already well known and present in the Italian peninsula thanks to the unofficial dealersas the known Gearbest or Grossoshop. But now that the company has already opened two physical stores, one a Milano and the most recent a Novate Milanese, the expansion of the Chinese brand begins to be exponential, also covering the main shopping centers and some consumer electronics chains.
Before drawing hasty conclusions we want to clarify the provenance of this data. The graph above was made analyzing smartphone sales data generated by HDblog in the first half of the 2018.
The e-commerce taken into consideration is Amazon, in the graph is missing Apple: the reason is related to the fact that on Amazon the number of iPhones sold is really very low.
Apple products are in fact purchased more or on the Official site, or up other e-commerce with much cheaper prices. For this the Apple data in possession of the site related to Amazon, are very low and can not be included in the chart having no relevance.
