Aqara prepares two new switches and a curious Stick Hub E1

Aqara is one of the many companies that is part of the ecosystem of Xiaomi. It mainly produces home accessories such as switches and hubs useful for lighting. The last product we talked about was a smart lock with optical recognition, but had previously introduced others three products for the smart home. In the last week, however, it seems that the Xiaomi sub-brand company has started to churn out products again. Specifically, they were discovered two new switches (compatible with European sockets) and one Stick Hub called E1. Let's see them all.

Aqara unveiled two compatible smart switches for Europe as it prepares to launch the stick-shaped E1 Hub. Here are the details

The range of switches Aqara E1 just unveiled is available on the YouPin store and consists of several models. There are both wired and wireless options, with single and double rocker variants. In short, different types of switches that can adapt to a whole series of situations. What's interesting is that while these Aqara switches are currently only available in China, the wired models feature size and design suitable for EU standards. The dimensions of the switches are 86 x 86 x 30.15 mm.

As regards instead Stick Hub E1, an even more interesting product than the previous ones, is essentially a Zigbee 3.0 hub, just like the previous newer hubs: Aqara G2H, Hub M1S, M2, USB Wall Outlet H1 and P3. In the case of the new E1, as we can see in the image below, the hub is a simple key, with one USB type A socket at the end, which can connect to virtually anything with a USB port.

We don't have the full specs yet, but since it's USB the current draw won't be excessive. It is noteworthy that this Aqara Stick Hub E1 has the para and flap shape that of a rage extender. In essence, as the source suggests, it could easily act as a WiFi signal extender. This is an important signal which, if confirmed, would mean a direct link with future products such as video doorbells which are typically far from your home WiFi router.

All of these products were found within the app We Home. Although all are also compatible with European sockets, we recommend don't buy them if you can find them on third-party stores. We remember in fact that They "travel" on Chinese servers and therefore compatibility, unless you are a geek, is not guaranteed.
