The bad conditions of the air we breathe, increasingly polluted by fine dust and impurities, have led to an increasingly massive use of anti-smog masks by the population, especially in the East. A photograph of a man recently surfaced online, traveling aboard a high-speed train, while using the Xiaomi air purifier. The event caused a lot of uproar not for the testimony of the bad environmental conditions of the Chinese territory, of which now we are not surprised, but also for the bulky dimensions of the device, which make it far too uncomfortable to be used outside the home. Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun also intervened, suggesting the company's intention to develop a purifier with reduced dimensions and suitable for use while on the move.
This new purifier would be added to the three versions currently available (Air Purifier, Air Purifier 2 and Air Purifier Pro) and is expected for the next few weeks, as announced by one of the Xiaomi executives. Further rumors indicate that the product will offer a much higher "output ratio" of clean air than the competition. Travel air purifiers are nothing new and have been around for some time, but they are far from cheap. It is expected that Xiaomi can remedy it by proposing a system equipped with an effective but still cheap technology, as per tradition.
