Asus is preparing its new high-end gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate, which is expected to debut in early 2024. Well, today the device was spotted on Geekbench, the well-known benchmark platform, which revealed some of its technical features and performance.

From what we can see on the Geekbench page, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate will be powered by the latest one Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with well 24 GB of RAM. It is the first mobile processor in the world to use the 4nm manufacturing process, which promises a 20% increase in performance and 30% increase in energy efficiency compared to the previous generation.
In the test, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate demonstrated remarkable performance, achieving a score of 2235 points in the single-core test e 7098 points in the multi-core test. These values are in line with the benchmark scores shared by Qualcomm during the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The Geekbench page also confirms that the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate will be equipped with Android 14, probably with customization ROG UI of Asus.
For now, information about the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate is still limited, but the emergence of these details suggests that more revelations are on the way. It is assumed that the device will be accompanied by two other models, the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro, which may differ in storage capacity, battery and design.
The ROG Phone 8 Ultimate will be the successor to the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, launched in April 2023 with a 6,8-inch OLED screen with 144 Hz refresh rate, a 6.000 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging, a 64 MP and a customizable LED panel on the back.
It is not yet known whether the device will support wireless charging, a feature that has always been missing from the ROG Phone series.
