Since when MIUI 12 has landed for the first time on Chinese mobile devices, many western users have complained of a too strong similarity with iOS, the operating system made in Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),. All in all though, is there a complaint? We must not hide that iOS is among the best OS in circulation, perhaps the best, and taking a cue from him can only be a source of pride. To date the we have seen similarities from an aesthetic point of view with the clouds of the MIUI Control Center 12, but also the feature side will see a similarity thanks to the Back Tap function.
A new feature that could be called "Back Tap" is developing on MIUI 12: it is inspired by Apple's iOS
For those who didn't know anything either poco of Apple's operating system, with the latest release iOS 14 a new mode has been inserted through which it is possible perform basic actions by tapping the back of the smartphone. Among these actions are the one that allows you to take a screenshot, silence the smartphone or even open a specific application. In the latter case it is very useful for open the voice assistant instead of calling it in words. Let's see in detail what the team discovered XDA.
In its current form (MIUI 12 China Developer number 20.7.27) this gesture can be attributed tothe possibility of launch the camera, flashlight, function center or notification panel. According to the source, the possibility of using this feature is linked to mandatory presence of a specific sensor: if this were confirmed it would mean that only smartphones in the future will be able to take advantage of the functionality. In fact, trying with devices such as Redmi Note 7 (in the hands of the developers of the Polish team of MIUI Polska) this feature is present on MIUI 12 but not usable, meaning that something is missing to use "Back tap". Below is an example on iOS 14.

It would be useful and nice to implement "Back tap"(We don't know if this will be the real name) immediately on smartphones that can count on rear fingerprint reader, giving users the opportunity to preview this novelty.
